The Wessex Sleep Centre specialises in designing and building custom beds to suit the needs of the occupant and parent/carer for now and in the future.

 

Below is a selection of beds that have become popular as standard production models. They are all based around a standard 3ft mattress, but please feel free to contact us to discuss any particular requirements you may have.

STANDARD SAFEGUARD BED

  • Internal height: 900mm/3ft (from top of mattress) 
  • Mattress: 8”/200mm Visco – elastic pressure relieving memory mattress 
    (3ft wide-standard) 
  • Bumpers: Half height and full height available as extra

LOW LEVEL MEDIUM HEIGHT SAFEGUARD BED

  • Internal height: 1085mm/3.7ft (from top of mattress)
  • Mattress: 8”/200mm Visco – elastic pressure relieving memory mattress
    (3ft wide-standard) 
  • Bumpers: Half height and full height available as extra

EXTRA TALL 'ZOE' SAFEGUARD BED

  • Internal height: 1290mm/4.4ft (from top of mattress)
  • Mattress: 8”/200mm Visco – elastic pressure relieving memory mattress
    (3ft wide-standard)
  • Bumpers: Half height and full height available as extra

HIGH LEVEL BED (WITH STORAGE UNDER)

  • Internal height: 60cm
  • Mattress height: 90cm

HI/LO & TRENDELENBURG ACTION
  • For quality assurance all our products are manufactured to a very high standard and in accordance with The General Product Safety Regulations (2005) and The British Standard BS EN 747-1 (Bunk and high beds) furniture and furnishings (fire safety) regulations 1988 DIN71-3.
  • With the manufacturing and management processes documented for quality assurance.
  • VAT Zero rated for the direct supply to disabled individuals.
The majority of our Special Needs beds are delivered and installed by us with comprehensive details for risk assessments, care of the product and assembly plans. Due to constant design improvements without compromise, each unit may vary slightly in appearance.
